Steven Edward Roon, 68, of Macomb passed away at 10 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025 at his residence.
He was born on October 30, 1956 in Chicago to Glenn A. and Alice June Mack Roon. He married Cindy Mainzer on July 17, 1982 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Mt. Prospect. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Grant Roon of Zion, Illinois, Erik (Courtney) Roon of Quincy and Shannon Roon of Chicago; as well as an adopted son, Nick (Katie) Tomich of Macomb; seven grandchildren, Martina Roon, Tobias Roon, Olivia Roon, Donovan Roon, Leo Tomich, Matthew Tomich and Elise Sullivan; two brothers, Glenn (Jeanne) Roon, Jr and Dave (Carole) Roon; two sisters, Jan (Bill) Henderson and Barb (Gary) Suits and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steve was a graduate of Western Illinois University with a bachelors degree in Law Enforcement and a minor in Business. He was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and served as the advisor for the past 25 years. St
