Bernard Roger Carr, 82, of Bushnell, Illinois passed away on July 12, 2024 at his residence. He was born March 4, 1942 in Avon, IL to Roger Alvin and Cleone Bell (Homer) Carr. He married Carolyn Kay Zuck in Bushnell, IL on April 22, 1962. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Deann (Rick) Hall of Astoria, IL; April (Tony) Tatham of Avon, IL; seven grandchildren, Jacob (Sami) Roach, Alexis (Josh Kumer) Roach, Holdyn Yerk, Dawson Hall, Bronson (Carly) Tatham, Brayden and Gracie Tatham; five great-grandchildren Rylan, Adalynn and Sophia Kumer, Brooks and Ellie Tatham.
Bernard was born, raised, and farmed in the Avon area his entire life. His professional life was spent in the heavy-duty road construction arena. His start in construction began with his father where they built Little Swan Lake in Avon and then Lakelawn Estates in Bushnell where he lived with Carolyn from 1969 until his passing.
