Celesta "Elieen" Lafary, 78, of Bushnell, Illinois passed away at 12:20 am on Sunday May 19, 2024 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born February 4, 1946 in Stoddard County, MO to Paul and Celesta (Lewis) Harty. Elieen married Gary "Squeak" Lafary on July 3, 1976 in Bushnell, IL.
Surviving is a daughter Lara Lafary of Bushnell, IL her three children, Garret (Hannah Kroll), Sky and Nicholas Lafary; five siblings, Phyllis McGuire, Paulette (Lyle) Johnston, Gary (Kathy) Harty, Gordon (Pam) Harty, Ramona Harty; sister-in-law Shirley Harty; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Mary Holdiness, two brothers, Jack Harty and Paul "Butch" Harty Jr.
Anyone who knew Elieen knew she had a deep love for all things Elvis, strawberries, quilting and her family above all. To everyone she was known as "Elieen", but to her grandchildren and the Rainbow Girls, she was "GG". Elieen was a member of Macomb Chapter #123 Order of Eastern S
