Mary "Jane" Hinton, 69, of Colchester, IL passed away at 5:30 PM on Friday, May 17, 2024 surrounded by family at home. She was born October 11, 1954 in Parson, KS to Robert and Darlene (Ayers) Adams. She married Thomas Hinton on September 29, 2002 in Colchester, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are five children, Michelle (Troy) Martin of Quincy, IL; Jerry Lee (Tiffany) Shepler Jr. of Bowen, IL; Daniel Hinton of Macomb, IL; Michael (Cari) Hinton of Castle Rock, CO; Janel (Justin) Gruber of Denver, CO; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Cindy Diehl of Keithsburg, IL; Deanna (Bubby) Tippie of Keithsburg, IL; Fay Hand of New Boston, IL and sister-in-law Tammy (Dave) Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael Timothy Adams.
Jane worked at Haeger Potteries for more than 15 years. She later worked at the YMCA and especially enjoyed her time working with the Meals on Wheels program. She was the "Boss" at home and ran a tight ship, she was a bit o
